We focus on tailoring, remodelling, and upcycling for garments that deserve a second life. Each project begins with an assessment of the fabric, construction, and the changes you want to make.

From vintage fit updates to dress, skirt, shirt, and jacket redesigns, we shape practical outcomes around what the garment can support. We also create fabric-reuse accessory pieces when the material is suitable.

A studio built around reuse

Built for customers who want thoughtful alterations and redesign work with a clear process from first inquiry to final collection.

Meridian Fit Studio was established in 2022 by Anika Rao with a simple idea: good garments should not be discarded before their material and shape have been fully considered.

Our work is appointment-led, so each fitting and consultation gets enough time for inspection, design discussion, and a realistic quote based on the garment in front of us.

We serve sustainability minded customers, vintage clothing owners, and people who want to keep meaningful garments in use through careful remodelling.

Every project starts with an honest assessment. We look at the fabric, seams, condition, and fit limits before discussing what can be changed and what should stay as it is.

Clear process

We keep the process clear from the start. Concepts, scope, and pricing are discussed before work begins, and design approval is required for redesign projects.

Thoughtful reuse

Our approach aims to extend the life of garments through remodelling and upcycling. When possible, we reuse strong original sections and work within the material that already exists.

Finish and follow-up

We also review fit at collection and share care and pressing notes so the finished garment is easier to wear and maintain after it leaves the studio.
